Our Staff Gary R. Cullop graduated from the University of Florida, in June 1976, with a BA in Political Science.  He served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, from June 1976 to December 1988.  While in the Marines, he was an infantry officer, helicopter pilot and forward air controller. Mr. Cullop became a Special Agent with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation in December 1989.  He served as a general criminal agent, investigating all types of crimes, including homicides, arsons and drug offenses.   He served on multi-agency task forces including Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces, Violent Crime Task Forces and a state Investigative Grand Jury.  He was a founding member of the NC SBI's Computer Crime Unit, which was created in January 2003.  While serving in the Computer Crime Unit, he was deputized as a Special Deputy US Marshall, with a Top Secret Security Clearance, to participate in the FBI's Cyber Crime Task Force. Gary teaches computer forensics in the Greensboro area of North Carolina and works as a consultant in civil and domestic cases and e-discovery collections with Guardian Digital Forensics.  Gary does not handle criminal cases.
