Digital Forensics for AttorneysThis two hour - two part session provides a foundation for understanding the field of digital forensics including computer and cell phone forensics.Drawing on extensive criminal and civil case experience involving digital evidence, your instructor will provide information related to the collection and handling of digital evidence, how evidence in used in cases, how this evidence can be challenged and what you should expect from an expert in this area.Part 1: In this session attendees will learn about the different types of digital evidence, where it comes from and how digital evidence should be collected, copied and preserved. Attendees will also learn about deleted data, and data recovery from a forensic point of view. The collection and proper examination of cell phones will also me covered.Part 2: In this session attendees will earn about experts, forensic analysis and how digital evidence can be challenged when not properly analyzed and interpreted.Key Items Covered: metadata, unallocated space, logical and physical data, forensically sound collections, technical, legal and investigative aspects of experts, discovery and the Adam Walsh Act.
